Vor allem Jugendliche seien durch Drogen und Alkohol gefährdet, informierte Monika Schuller von der Beratungsstelle die rund 35 jungen und älteren Teilnehmer. Bei vielen Aussiedlern müsse aufgrund unterschiedlicher Lebenserfahrungen erst ein Unrechtsbewußtsein gegen den Drogenkonsum geweckt werden, weiß Monika Schuller. In Kasachstan wächst beispielsweise die Haschischpflanze Hanf in vielen Gebieten am Straßenrand. Eine frühzeitige Präventionsarbeit sei deswegen besonders wichtig. Der Kulturschock, Sprachprobleme und der Mangel an Ausbildungs- und Arbeitsplätzen verstärkten vorhandene Probleme oft noch.
Die rechtlichen Auswirkungen des Drogenkonsums erläuterte Wolfgang Schallenberg, Mitarbeiter des Kommissariats "Vorbeugende Sucht- und Drogenprävention" des Polizeipräsidiums Münster. Auch auf die kostenlosen Angebote der anonym arbeitenden Drogenberatung der Stadt und von Indro wurden die Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer hingewiesen.
Heidrun Liene-Effing von der Verbraucherzentrale erläuterte das deutsche Vertragsrecht und informierte über die verschiedenen Versicherungsarten. Die Verbraucherschützerin warnte davor, Verträge an der Haustür abzuschließen. Die Vorträge erfolgten in deutscher und russischer Sprache. Sie wurden durch zweisprachige Broschüren ergänzt. Mit der Veranstaltungsreihe wolle man die gegenseitige Toleranz fördern und neue Wege in der Aussiedlerintegration gehen, betonte Monika Schuller vom städtischen Sozialamt.
